Dr. Steven W. Stetson, MD – Medical Director

Dr. Stetson has performed over 50,000 refractive surgeries and has been on LASIK surgeons staff at Diamond Vision since 2004. He assumed the role of Medical Director in 2006.

After graduating Cum Laude from Colgate University and earning an MD with honor and University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Stetson spent his residency at the Albany Medical Center.

Dr. Stetson has served as Chief of Ophthalmology and Medical Director of the Air Force’s prestigious Air Force Academy Laser Eye Clinic.

Dr. Leon Aleksandrovich, MD

A respected teaching attendee and mentor at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. Aleksandrovich is skilled in helping patients feel safe and educated throughout the duration of their procedure- from consultation to post-op appointment.

Graduating from NYU with degrees in Psychology and Russian Literature left Dr. Aleksandrovich with an unending thirst for knowledge. He continued his educated at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and completed his ophthalmic surgery training for vision doctors at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt/Columbia Presbyterian Hospitals.

Dr. Aleksandrovich has performed over 10,000 LASIK procedure during his five years with Diamond Vision.

Dr. Eileen Conti, MD

Dr. Conti is fellowship trained in refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery) and has been performing Laser Vision Correction (LASIK and PRK) for over ten years. The board-certified ophthalmologist is experienced in additional refractive procedures including IntraLASIK, PRK, AK and near-vision CK.

Dr. Conti earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Physiology from Hahnemann University, an MD from Jefferson Medical College and completed her ophthalmology residency as Chief Resident at St. Francis Medical Center/ Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Dr. Amy Stein, Director of Optometry

Dr. Stein is currently Diamond Vision’s Director of Optometry, a role in which she is responsible for overseeing all optometric aspects of care across six offices. She works as support in the Optometry co-management program and continuing education seminars.

After graduating from SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Stein interned at OMNI Miami, where she worked and trained alongside extensively experienced vision doctors and corneal surgeons.

Dr. Andrew Schwartz, MD

Dr. Schwartz is a published researcher, an expert in laser assisted cataract surgery, a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Schwartz is consistently ranked amongst the top ophthalmologists in the country by publications including the New York Times Magazine Super Doctors and America’s Top Doctors. Dr. Schwartz serves on the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, the Manhattan Surgery Center board; he is also a clinical instructor at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Elmhurst General Hospital.
